Chapelle D' AusoneProduct Description:This is the second wine of the illustrious Château d'Ausone The owners of Château Ausone are the Vauthier family and the current head of the estate is Alain Vauthier. The château retains the services of the eminent oenologist Michel Rolland. The average age of the vines is 50 years and the vineyard is planted with 55% Cabernet Franc and 45% Merlot. The blend of this wine tends to vary slightly from that of the Grand Vin in that it leans towards a straight 50-50 split between Cabernet Franc and Merlot.
